good news on trade deals?

Futures and many stocks are rising during premarket as investors cheered China's announcement that it is evaluating the possibility of starting trade negotiations with the US. The market is trusting the China more than US’s words.
In terms of headwinds, Apple and Amazon results don’t seem to impresss investors, which could then drag down the market.
Not to forget, we have a huge employment report coming up shortly.

Powell saved the market?

The Fed had decided to maintain the interest rate at current level. The latest dot plot showed that the central bank forecast it would cut interest rates two times in 2025. Both came in line with expectations.
During the press conference, Powell also brushed away talks about stagflation. He further gave some assuring pointers: Labor market conditions are solid, and inflation has moved closer to their 2% longer-run goal.

Losing streak

Wall Street slumped to a 4-week losing streak last week. The market sentiment has been weak recently. There are lots of jitters over the trade war and a potential economic downturn.
