Shizuoka, Hachijuni, and Yamanashi Chuo Banks Form Business Alliance
Yamanashi Chuo Bank, Shizuoka Bank, and Hachijuni Bank have signed a comprehensive business partnership to establish the "Mt. Fuji - Alps Alliance."
Yamanashi Chuo Bank <8360.T> announced on the 27th that it has entered into a comprehensive business partnership with Shizuoka Bank <5831.T> and Hachijo Bank <8359.T>, launching the "Mt. Fuji & Alps Alliance." Yamanashi Chuo Bank and Shizuoka Bank established the "Shizuoka-Yamanashi Alliance" in October 2020. While mutually utilizing the strengths and management resources of both banks, efforts have been made towards sustainable regional growth and the expansion of revenue opportunities through the resolution of social issues. Now, Hachijo Bank has joined the initiative.

Yamanashi Chuo Bank <8360> has ranked in (as of 1:32 PM). After a sharp rise, it has become sluggish. It has been reported that Chiba Bank has acquired over 20% of stocks from Ariake Capital and has started discussions for a management integration with Chiba Kogin, but recent reports indicate that the bank also holds about 1.5% of the stocks of Ariake, leading to expectations of reorganization affecting the market. Afterwards, during the lunch break, reports of a three-bank business partnership with Shizuoka Bank and Hachijuni Bank were conveyed, causing expectations for management integration to retreat. The stock price increased in the latter half of the trading session.

On the 27th, the Nikkei average in the morning session fell for the first time in three days, closing at 37,674.03 yen, down 353.26 yen from the previous day. The TOPIX (Tokyo Stock Price Index) also dropped by 12.31 points to 2,800.58 points. Selling was dominant from the morning, and at 9:06 AM, the Nikkei average reached a low of 37,556.75 yen, down 470.54 yen. Although there were instances of buying aimed at a rebound, the lack of substantial cues seemed to limit active buying.
